The solution for minimal bone or “no bone”
Zygomatic or zygoma implants allow for dental implant reconstruction in cases where there is little to no bone in the upper jaw. In the past, these cases would have required grafting with delayed implant placement. This means multiple surgeries and a prolonged treatment time as well as usually having to wear an uncomfortable denture during healing. Zygoma implants are longer than typical dental implants and anchor into the cheek bone for high stability, providing the ability to place functional, implant supported teeth on the very same day in most cases.
Dr. Spiro Karras is one of the few surgeons who have the experience and expertise to place zygomatic implants.

|Two Zygomatic implants in addition to four traditional implants. This patient had a “strong” bite and a history of grinding his teeth, necessitating extra support.|
|“Quad Zygoma” case. Failing dental implants placed more than 20 years prior require removal, which will leave very little bone. Four Zygomatic implants are placed in the upper jaw along with 4 traditional implants in the lower jaw for complete dental reconstruction in 1 day!|
