If you are having general anesthesia or sedation

All patients having general anesthesia or sedation must be seen for a consultation and examination prior to scheduling surgery.

If you will be put to sleep (general anesthesia or sedation) for your surgery, please observe the following:

  1. Do not eat or drink anything for 8 hours prior to surgery. However, if you are taking prescription medication, please call our office for specific instructions.
  2. You must be accompanied to the office by a responsible adult driver.
  3. Wear loose, comfortable clothing with short sleeves.
  4. For longer procedures, do not wear contact lenses.
