Dr. Karras, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon is a dental specialist who treats conditions, defects, injuries, and esthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth, jaws, and face. His training includes a four-year graduate degree in dentistry and the completion of a four-year hospital based surgical residency program. Additionally, Dr. Karras has completed a 12 month fellowship in reconstructive maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Karras cares for patients who experience such conditions as problem wisdom teeth, facial pain, and misaligned jaws. He offers dental implant surgery services to replace missing teeth, treats accident victims suffering facial injuries, performs reconstructive surgery, and cares for patients with tumors and cysts of the jaws. Dr. Karras treats many conditions affecting the jaws and surrounding facial areas to restore function and to enhance cosmetic appearance.
With specialized knowledge in pain control and advanced training in anesthesia, Dr. Karras is able to provide quality care with maximum patient comfort and safety. Most procedures are performed in the office. Complex or lengthy procedures are performed in the hospital.
