Dr. Haupt is an Idaho native and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Idaho State University. She was accepted into the highly competitive Idaho Dental Education Program, which sponsors top students in the state for dental education. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. While at Creighton, she received the Creighton University Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Achievement Award and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Dr. Haupt was accepted into the University of Illinois at Chicago Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program where she trained under leading academic surgeons. While covering multiple hospitals and clinics, including the University of Illinois Chicago, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, she received extensive training in all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and in outpatient sedation and anesthesia techniques. She also received advanced training in the management of benign and malignant cysts and tumors of the mouth and jaws. In addition, she completed many complex cases in orthognathic surgery, as well as dentoalveolar and dental implant surgery. She served as chief resident in her final year of training.
Currently, Dr. Haupt resides in the northern suburbs of Chicago with her husband, who is also an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, serving our country in the United States Navy. In her free time, she likes to travel, run, and enjoy the diverse and delicious food throughout the Chicago area.
